Another Gold Star!!!!
Long time no blog. This was definitely, once again, blog-worthy!
Meg/Mom, Sarah G, & I participated in the Run Like a Girl Half Marathon today! Sarah & I ran the first six miles together. It was a wonderful, albeit quite hilly, morning jog! We were surrounded by lots of lovely women and a very supportive group, including an incredible chase crew made up of some lovely husbands and a puppy! (Thanks Travis, James, & Carlo!!)
We then joined my mom at the 6 mile mark and walked the remaining 7.1 miles with her. No less hilly, but now with more company! I stole Carlo from our chase crew, so he got a crack at all of the Bellingham hills as well!

Race Start! (Not a terribly formal affair...)

Sarah, Meg/Mom, Lizzy, & Carlo at about 9.5 miles

The three of us (and Carlo) at the finish!
It was a super fun and inspirational event. Such an incredible way to spend a Saturday morning!!!!
Thanks Sarah, for joining us at the last minute for a great run. Thanks again to James & Travis for all of your support - and for putting up with us girls for the weekend! Most importantly, thanks, Mom, for being such an inspiration - not quite 4 months out from a total knee replacement. You really earned your gold star today!!!!
